GROWTH pattern design

It was always a dream of mine to design patterns. With the birth of Mirina Designs, I took matters into my own hands and started working to make this a reality.

These patterns were created using a technique called linoleum block printmaking, where you carve the negative spaces out of a linoleum block, roll ink over, and press the block onto paper to create a print.

I printed these designs on paper and then translated them into digital patterns using Illustrator (shown below). These patterns would become the center of the “Growth” collection, where I turned to making a collection of wearable art pieces.
